I'm looking to buy these speakers mainly for my Xbox, and watching movies on my Television - which is nearly viii-10 years old now, but however a pretty decent 27" Tv. I'll probably hook the speakers upwardly through my DVD Recorder if that'll makes a difference in audio quality or non, I don't know.

I already have an crawly speaker setup for my PC (Klipsch ProMedia v.i). Now I was going to juet settle for a nice ii.1 setup for my TV, simply than I tested out HL2 on my PC comparing 5.1 and ii.ane. 5.1 sounds much more immersive and makes the game in full general sound a lot meliorate over 2.1. So now I really want five.1 for a decent toll.

The X- 530 seems perfect for me, except information technology lacks DTS and Dolby digital but I'm non worried near that. I'm on a budget and don't need/want annihilation globe shattering

I'm confused though, at that place's seems to be two dissimilar models:
970114-0403: 40Hz to 20kHz
970114-1403: 35Hz to 20KHz

see here
This site shows the difference is the wattage, but information technology'southward non as I have searched for it.

Now obviously the 1403 has the better frequency response simply I googled speaker frequency response and wised upwardly.

And I'm probably being picky merely I just want to make the correct decison. Which model should I get? The 0403 seems to be the well-nigh common and best rated (at Pricegrabber).

for $2 departure I'd take the 1403. Information technology'south freq response suggests it has a scrap better speakers or amplifier.
It seems it's just a new revision of 0403 which would explain the lack of reviews - not many have had a adventure to buy it yet ;)
Otherwise you'll be quite happy with either.

Edit: I checked out the Logitech site. There's no mention of 1403 model there ?!?!! Simply 0403 has 70W sub RMS power and total RMS power is 140W. It might be that nosotros're just talking the same thing here in regard to these two models. Either style, i'd go for 1403 (if it's at all real).

Its not speaker response time, rather, the frequency range that the speaker can produce sound.

140 Watts is the total peak power of the x-530, the total RMS is 70. None of the sites listed for the 140w specifically said they were 140 watts RMS, so I'm assuming its just not true.

How and why could logitech DOUBLE the wattage of a low range set of speakers?

Yup, I retrieve pricegrabber is only a little inaccurate there. Anyhow I due east-mailed Logitech just at present and asked the difference between these models.
